FIMH 2013
The FIMH 2013 is the 7th International Conference on Functional Imaging and Modeling of the Heart.
This biennial scientific event aims to integrate the research and development efforts in the fields of cardiovascular modeling and image analysis. The main goal is to encourage collaboration among scientists in signal and image processing, imaging, applied mathematics, biophysics, biomedical engineering, and experts in cardiology, radiology, biology and physiology..

International Conference on Radiation Protection in Medicine
The
health benefits accruing to mankind from the medical use of ionizing
radiation, such as X-rays, or from radioactive substances are well
recognized. Many countries are nevertheless still lacking access to
essential radiation-based health services. However, on the whole the
exposure of the global population to ionizing radiation is rising
rapidly, nearly exclusively due to medical uses of radiation.
? What is Medical Physics
Medical physics is the application of physics to problems involving human health. Important developments in this field hold promise for improvements in the diagnosis and understanding of disease, and in the application of high technology to patient care. Examples include the employment of high energy photon and electron beams for cancer therapy, the invention of the computed tomographic (CT) scanner, and more recently, the development of the magnetic resonance (MR) imager. Currently, there is a shortage of physicists who can bridge the gap between the traditional pure and applied sciences and clinical application.
